On Sunday we thought it would be fun to take the boys to a park and have a picnic. There is a really nice park just inside the Kentucky border in Henderson. It it usually a nice quiet park and more of a nature park with some trails and lots of wilderness. It also has a nice size pond that the boys love.
After we ate the boys were able to round up some black walnut shells and headed down to the pond. Throwing rocks or anything that resembles a rock is usually fair game to throw into the water.
They used one of our plastic bags and gathered up their "rocks", and headed to the water with Daddy. This entertained them for a little while.
They thought it was really neat to see all the green balls floating in the water.
After they ran out of walnuts they decided to have fun rolling down the hill. They would run up to the top fall to their tummy and did a combination of a roll and slide down the hill.
