The start of a project

Eric had a lot of fun making some of the smaller projects with Thomas, like the piggy airplane and the catapult. So he came up with the idea of making a little car for Thomas to help with.
After research and several sketches and plans, they were ready to start working on the car. Thomas was pretty excited to have some one on one time with Daddy and was all ready to get started on his project.
The plan is it to come out like a wooden peddle car. Thomas has already figured out how he wants it painted and what kind of details he wants on the car. This is just the beginning stages but it was fun to see them work together :)

Valentines Day

I think the boys really had a fun Valentines Day this year. With both of them in school/preschool They each had a chance to have a valentine exchange.
When Thomas got home from school they were excited to see what type of candy and cards they got from their classmates. Thomas took the time and took the cards out one by one and look to see who each of them were from.
With Sup he didn't care who the cards were from and just dumped the whole bag out on the floor and looked for the candy. With both of the boys they were not a fan of all the barbie/princess cards and were quickly disposed of.... well of course after any candy was taken off ;)
Because of Eric's schedule and not really wanting to try the whole dining out on Valentines, we decided to have a special dinner at home. They had a really good deal on t-bone steaks, so I picked some up for our meal. We also had some honey butter pull apart rolls, veggies, and a yummy fruit salad with all fresh fruit. We also had a fun drink for our special occasion. I didn't get to the chocolate molten cakes, so we saved that for the weekend ;) The dinner was a big success and everyone really enjoyed it !

Writing valentines

Since Thomas has started kindergarten his writing has gotten better and better. This year he was able to make out his valentines for all his classmates all by himself.
He had a lot of fun with it and was excited to get them out. When I took him to the store to pick out which ones he wanted he went with the Star Wars valentines. We then headed over to the candy and picked out a little candy that we could put on the card.
The pack came with stickers as well and he put them on the card along with his candy. He was a pretty busy boy that night as he did 30 cards to make sure that his teachers got one as well. It was much a lot easier because we didn't have to put individual names to make it easier to hand out. After the sticker and the Hershey Kiss his valentines were complete! He even remembered to do one for Sup :)
