More camping

Eric said the boys slept pretty good that night and was able to snap a few pics before they woke up.
It didn't take long after the sun came up that they started to stir. Livvy and I were up at a good hour and were able to make a trip over to donut bank for a nice breakfast treat for our camping boys :)

After I got Livvy up and fed I headed over to the donut bank, picked up a dozen donuts and went over to the campground.
Eric had prepped the boys that Livvy and I were over with donuts and couldn't wait for us to get there with breakfast. They were more happy, I think for the special breakfast, then to see me. Either way they were happy with a smile ;)
To help Thomas with his reading and to maybe enjoy reading we got him a Minecraft book to read on our camping night. He was very excited to read Daddy his new story.
Since we had time before we had to pack up camp, after breakfast we headed over to the playground to play. The campground was pretty quite and really not at all crowded so we had the playground all to ourselves.
It was really a nice morning and the boys had a lot of fun just playing and enjoying the time outside.
After playing for a while it was time to head back over and start packing up. Everyone really enjoyed their camping experience. It was really the first time for the boys and seemed to enjoy and really have a lot of fun with everything.

Frist camping night

The beginning of May Eric had taken a Friday off to have a three day weekend. He wanted to take the boys out for a little camping night.
We have talked about taking the boys camping for a while but never really has worked out. Eric thought this weekend in May would work out nice. We didn't want to do anything to extreme and with Livvy only being just over 3 months we opted for a little campground in KY just about 15 mins away. This way if things didn't work out packing up and going home wouldn't b a big deal.
We had decided as well that it wouldn't b a good idea for Livvy yet to camp so I was going to stay for the evening and the boys were going to stay in the tent. It has been a while since Eric and I have gotten our tent out so we were hoping it was still in good shape.
We got to the campground and where able to set up everything up and were happy to see that everything was still in good condition. After we got our camp set we headed over to see Thomas' soccer game, which was rained out. Apparently it was raining pretty hard and there was some lighting while we were setting up our camp. So we headed back over to KY where the rain was letting up.
It seems we caught the rain all at the right time. As we came back it was raining a little but after about 15 mins it was about over and we were able to get dinner ready.
For my birthday I got some pie irons and we were able to have our traditional pizza pies. They were a big hit with everyone. It has been years since I have had them and the first for the boys.
Thomas my non cheese eater… has decided that "pizza" cheese was good, and ate two of the pizza pies  for his dinner.
We had gotten a couple of mini flashlights for our hiking stuff and packed them up for our little camping trip. We had a nice lot with no one around so the boys had fun just playing games and running around the campsite. It brought me back to my camping days as a child and it was fun just to sit and watch them.
No camping trip is complete without some roasted marshmallows and s'mores!
The boys had so much fun cooking their marshmallows over the fire and Sup was able to get some nice toasty ones that were pretty yummy :)
After s'mores we were able to pack up all our dinner stuff and Livvy and I headed home and the boys settled into the tent for the night.

Watching football

These pictures really made Daddy proud of his little girl. When I was pregnant Livvy really got active whenever football was on.
It seems she is still interested after she was born. Eric had found some re-run college football game, a MSU game. We had put Livvy in her chair and started to watch the game.
It was pretty funny to watch! She sat for about 10 mins smiling and giggling at the game not really caring what was going on around her.

3 months old!

It is always amazing to me how fast this first year of life is. At three months it has been fun to see this sweet little girl laugh and smile at her brothers around her.
She can hold her head pretty good and she still has all her hair she was born with. It has just gotten a little longer and a little thicker.
The boys I think will become her protecters and have loved having her as part of our family.

Easter 2014

With Easter being mid April this year, and the weather starting to get warmer it was a beautiful Sunday. With having the early church time we were able to come home and have most of the day to celebrate.
I have not been very good at doing the boys' Easter baskets in the past, but this year I was more prepared. Because it was such a nice day Eric was able to hide everyones Easter baskets outside.

While Eric was busy hiding baskets and eggs the boys stayed inside to decorate their eggs. They did a really nice job and were proud of their creations. So much so I had to really talk them into actually using the eggs.
This year we did plastic eggs with little candies inside. We didn't count them but I pretty sure we got them all as we haven't found any since ;)
Miss Livvy wanted to get in on the action too. With a little of Daddy's help she was able to find a little yellow egg, although Daddy had to eat the m&m's inside :)
Everyone was happy when they found all their goodies.  The boys have really been into Minecraft so they got Minecraft trinkets and Livvy got some cereal to try a little earlier and Frozen, Daddy thought she would like it later.
After all the festivities it was time for dinner. It was a nice family dinner with our traditional spiral ham, Sup as you can see was pretty excited.
