Frist camping night

The beginning of May Eric had taken a Friday off to have a three day weekend. He wanted to take the boys out for a little camping night.
We have talked about taking the boys camping for a while but never really has worked out. Eric thought this weekend in May would work out nice. We didn't want to do anything to extreme and with Livvy only being just over 3 months we opted for a little campground in KY just about 15 mins away. This way if things didn't work out packing up and going home wouldn't b a big deal.
We had decided as well that it wouldn't b a good idea for Livvy yet to camp so I was going to stay for the evening and the boys were going to stay in the tent. It has been a while since Eric and I have gotten our tent out so we were hoping it was still in good shape.
We got to the campground and where able to set up everything up and were happy to see that everything was still in good condition. After we got our camp set we headed over to see Thomas' soccer game, which was rained out. Apparently it was raining pretty hard and there was some lighting while we were setting up our camp. So we headed back over to KY where the rain was letting up.
It seems we caught the rain all at the right time. As we came back it was raining a little but after about 15 mins it was about over and we were able to get dinner ready.
For my birthday I got some pie irons and we were able to have our traditional pizza pies. They were a big hit with everyone. It has been years since I have had them and the first for the boys.
Thomas my non cheese eater… has decided that "pizza" cheese was good, and ate two of the pizza pies  for his dinner.
We had gotten a couple of mini flashlights for our hiking stuff and packed them up for our little camping trip. We had a nice lot with no one around so the boys had fun just playing games and running around the campsite. It brought me back to my camping days as a child and it was fun just to sit and watch them.
No camping trip is complete without some roasted marshmallows and s'mores!
The boys had so much fun cooking their marshmallows over the fire and Sup was able to get some nice toasty ones that were pretty yummy :)
After s'mores we were able to pack up all our dinner stuff and Livvy and I headed home and the boys settled into the tent for the night.
