Sup's Christmas celebration

At Sup's preschool each year they put on a little Christmas production for the kids to perform for parents and friends. This Christmas they didn't have too much time to prepare because of all the winter weather.
Even with just a few days of practice the show was pretty cute. Sup was very excited to see both Mommy and Daddy come and watch him. After a little play of the Christmas story all the kids sang and did sign language to a few songs.
After the show each of the classes went back to their classrooms. In the room they did another little song and got things ready for their Christmas party.
Again because of all the snow days prior to the Christmas break the decorations and food was a little less then what they usually have. Nonetheless Sup was happy to share his fun day with us :)

Winter storm of 2013

Just before Christmas we had the first (of many it seems this winter) snow storm of the season. The boys have always been excited about the snow, Eric and myself…not so much.
With this particular storm (if I am remembering right) started off earlier on a Thursday morning. It started out as sleet and/or freezing rain and then to snow. School was cancelled, for the rest of the week.
After about 1/4 inch of ice, came the snow. It seems that the amounts varied but I think it was bout 5 inches (maybe more). That afternoon everything started to close, and not just schools but just about every business and church related activities.
It was nice and surprising that Toyota cancelled their shift as well, so we were able to have Daddy home and I didn't have to worry about him driving in this. The snow started to taper off in the evening and we did venture outside to clean things up a bit, and the boys were dying to play in the snow. Being eight months pregnant my help was limited, but I did manage to clean off the cars and take some pictures.

Getting ready for Christmas

I am slowly getting back to my blog, a new baby will certainly rearrange your priorities ;)
We started to decorate for Christmas a little bit earlier this year. We have so many fun decorations and we all love to see the house all festive. And it can be a lot of work to put up everything so why not enjoy it for a while :)
The boys had a lot of fun this year with all our decorations. We split up our decorating into a couple of days to help it not be so overwhelming. Over the last few years I have started collecting a Christmas village. This year Eric made me a nice little place to set up all the people and buildings. It really turned out nice and it was fun to see the little village lit up at night.
I think the most exciting thing for the boys is putting up the tree. They love to put their ornaments on and see it all lit up. Eric and I were pretty prepared for Christmas this year and on Sundays we would wrap a few presents and let the boys put the presents under the tree.
