Every year the first full week of October is Fall Festival here in Evansville. We have been going each year since we moved down here and is a pretty big deal down here. It is a huge food festival that has anything you can imagine and that you can't imagine. It is the second biggest street festival in the US second to only Mardi Gras. Aunt Sara, Uncle Josh, and Papa Jim have come the past few years as well to join in on the fun.
I don't remember the exact number for food booths but it is 120 plus that stretches up and down the street. They have all the normal things like cotton candy, (which the boys are eating in this pic) hot dogs, hamburgers, nachos, ice cream, lemon shake ups, etc.
They also have all kinds of deep fried items, you wouldn't believe some of the things that are fried. New this year they had deep fried Kool-Aid. This is what Eric is eating. Eric being a Kool-Aid fan had to try it.It seemed to be some kind of batter they made with strawberry Kool-Aid and then fried it. It actually tasted pretty good, as weird as it sounds.
The boys stuck with what they know. After the cotton candy Thomas opted for the corn on the cob and Sup went with a pronto pup. It seems the ground means little to Sup, next to him is a chuck of cotton candy. I thought he put it there because he was done with it and was going to town on his pronto pup. Well after he finished it he pick up his cotton candy and ate it like there was nothing wrong with it...not something I was too crazy about.
Daddy and Sup enjoying a yummy carmel apple :) It was a fun day!
