Scout day camp was held three days in the beginning of June, it was held on June 10,11, and 12th. This was Thomas's first experience with s scout camp. He was really excited to go and had a fun time each day.
They had a lot fun things planned each day and he was able to experience some new things. They needed help each of the days and I was able to help out for an afternoon. The weather was very hot but they were very good at making sure water was always available and there were lots of tents set up so you could sit in the shade.
Each day they had a chance to use the bow and arrows and the bb guns. I helped out with the bow and arrows so I was not able to get a picture with Thomas with the bow but that was by far his favorite event. He is a big fan of Hawkeye from Avengers which uses the bows so he became very interested on how to shot it right.
On the last day of camp they had told the parents that for the last event of the day and the camp the boys were going to get wet. So we made sure that Thomas had shorts and his swim shirt so he could have fun in the water. When I went to pick him up on Friday this is what I seen! It was very cool!
They had the firefighters come out for a "firefighters sprinkler". They had a firefighter at the top of the ladder spraying the water all over the big group of boys. Everyone was having such a good time and the weather was so warm that it was a great day to do this. After trying to not get wet myself I was able to find Thomas in the group. It was a fun ending to his first camp : )
