Summer fun in June

June was a fun month for our family. The weather was warm enough that we could go outside and play in the water but not too hot that you could only be out for a few minutes. We were also able to have our family dinners outside to enjoy the warmer weather.
The kids were out of school so besides having a little school work in the morning they could have fun and play the rest of the day. We really didn't have any appointments so it was a fun time to just enjoy the outdoors and being around one another without have to be here and there.
The first couple saturdays in June we got the pool out and the kids could play while Eric and I had some things we wanted to get done outside. When everyone was here for Thomas baptism, Aunt Sara got everyone a squirt gun to play with. These came in hand to play with after everyone was gone and the boys and Olivia loved to playing with them.
On Saturdays I was also able to experiment with my dutch oven. I really looked forward to this and Eric was able to make a barrier so Livvy couldn't get in to burn herself. This Saturday I experimented with crescent rolls. I did take a little help from the store and bought the crescent roll but I tried a out stuffed chicken cordon bleu roll.
These turned out really well! I had some rotisserie chicken left over from a dinner and was able to use that along with some ham and cheese. I stuffed it in the roll and put it in the dutch oven and this is how they looked : ) The boys were not so much a fan but Eric, Livvy and I enjoyed them : )
