On June 13th we left bright and early for our camping trip down to the Great Smoky Mountains. We all had a really good time last year and made plans to go back again this year.
With Livvy being older we went ahead and decided to camp in the park. There was a few more preparations we needed to make because we didn't want to attract bears, but we were all excited to go. We didn't have any trouble getting the boys out of bed. For breakfast I had made some muffins the night before so we didn't have to stop and eat. (For those how may be wondering that is paint on Sups legs. He and Livvy thought it would be fun to paint on him…)
Since we didn't have to stop for breakfast or to nurse Livvy we were able to make pretty good time. We wanted to take the kids out to lunch so when we came into Knoxville, we stopped for some orange chicken from Panda Express. This was their first experience and they all enjoyed it : )
After all the excitement the rest of the way to the park the kids were able to get a little nap.
We were able to make it to the campground with lots of time to set up and explore. This year we camped at Smokemont. It was a nice campground and close to the river. After a long drive and a nap the kids were up and excited to help set up and have fun around camp!
