Conner Prairie-- Part 2

Our nest stop at Conner Prairie was into Prairie Town. It was a town that was set up just like it would have been in 1836. There was a lot to do and with the heat and time that Gramma and Papa had we only saw a small part of it.
They had a fun little game that you participate in when you first entered the town. You spun the wheel...the one Thomas is in front of in the picture. The wheel gave you what you "job" you would have, Thomas landed on farmer.
After you had your job you got a card with a list of things you would do as a farmer in back in 1836. This would take you around the town as well and allow you to learn about what it be like to live in 1836.
The first place we stopped was the garden. They had an old fashion pump that you had to pump your water and fill up your little buckets and then go around and water your plants.
Thomas did not want to use the little watering thing (have no idea what its name is) that you put on your neck. He said it was too hot so then enlisted Papa to carry the buckets...lol.. somehow I think he would have used this excuse many times back in 1836 ;)
Sup on the other hand loved this part of the town. If it was cooler I am sure that he would have been harder to get him to go. Unlike Thomas he was willing to try the water carrier.
After water with the time, heat, and hungry boys we were not able to much in the else in the town. We stopped by and seen some more farm animals and then headed to have some lunch.
