Garden of the Gods

On Sunday Gramma and Papa came up with a fun idea to have us travel a few hours south with them that way we could have a little bit of a longer visit. As we looked at the map a few days earlier they were looking around Paducah, Ky area.
The only thing that I knew about the Paducah area was that is where our closest National Weather Service is out of....so when ever there is severe weather/warnings it is issued by Paducah. As I looked I noticed there was also Shawnee National Forest near by. It looked liked it had some fun things do see so we decided we would see a place called the Garden of the Gods.
As we arrived it was a beautiful day for a fun adventure. It was nice that the Garden was well marked and we were able to find it without any problems. It was great because it was all totally free. The place was great and had a lot of fun rock formations to go and see.
It had a trail around the rocks so that you could see all the different formations and climb around them.  As you can see poor Sup was so excited that he was going on an adventure that he hopped in the van and no one noticed that he didn't have shoes, so he was carried most of the time.
We were all able to climb to the top of these rocks and the views up here were amazing! Thomas who is not a big fan of heights thought it was cool but held tightly to Daddy. Sup on the other hand had no fear what so ever, and WE hand to hold HIS hand tightly.
It really was a fun afternoon for about a 2 hour trip. We all had a really fun time looking at all the different rock formations. You would have never thought we were in Kentucky.
