Even though I have been to Antelope Island twice before we haven't been to the ranch, it seems that we were there in the evening after they closed. So this time around we went in the morning so we could see it and be there before it was too warm. It was very nice for me and the boys because one of the first things we were told was that it was an all hands on place! It was just fine for the kids to touch anything they wanted, and for kids this makes a nice and fun place for them and mom :)
This was right at the entrance of the ranch Sup was the only one who wanted to cooperate for the picture, which I was grateful. This was a nice little picnic area they had. It was nice a grassy, with picnic tables and lots of shade trees. Since we came shortly after breakfast we didn't have a picnic but it would have been a nice spot for one.
They had this little set up where you could sit on the horse (it was on the right of the bulls) and try to rope the bulls. Since the horse was in the sun the seat was a little to warm for the boys so they just wanted to "ride" the bulls.
They had this little bitty camper that they use to live in while out on with the animals on the island I think. It was this bed and a little stove on the side and that was it! It was a little crowed with just me and the boys, and Sup was on the bed.
This was one of the cellars, it was pretty "yucky" according to Sup, so they didn't get past the door way.
The house had all kinds of fun things to see. There was an Asian family looking the same time we were and were just fascinated with my boys. They couldn't quite get over their hair color.
For some reason Sup needed to test out all the beds, and I can't image they were very comfy.
Thomas was a little unsure about getting on the horse saddle they had set up but he did try it, Sup refused.
Both of the boys loved blacksmith sheds they had. They enjoyed looking and being able to touch all the different tools.
Sup was so fun - always find the beds and climbing on them. Thomas had to be hot in that shirt - but he was adorable anyway!
