Independence Day

We had a pretty easy going 4th. After Eric got home from work we did some thins around the house. We did have an all American dinner with hamburger, fries, and milkshakes.... can't really go work with that :) We hung around the house and then we headed to go see the fireworks downtown. We stopped to get some drinks for the show headed down toward the river.

We decided to park about where we parked last year because we still have a nice view of the fireworks and we could just pull out and head home not having to fight traffic. We brought our blankets and drinks and were ready for show. The boys were very excited.

We knew that it wouldn't start until it got dark, and sitting in the bed of the truck we knew that it would be a good idea to bring something to entertain the boys. We brought some games...a bingo game which the boys love and helps them learn their letters.

We can't really go anywhere without something with dinosaurs, so I brought one of the dino games. This is a game but the boys just like playing with the dinos that come with it :)

Thomas actually wanted Sup to sit by him during the show, Sup had other plans he wanted to stand right at the edge of the truck and watch.

This is a pretty sad picture of the fireworks. They were really good but the night setting on my camera is better with a tripod so the camera can be still, and my hands were not. But I felt I had to put at least one pic for the fireworks. We all had a great time and the boys loved the display of all the big fireworks. Thomas thought they shot off all the green ones just for him. So every time green ones went off he would clap and jump and yell " LOOK A GREEN ONE JUST FOR ME!!" Silly boy ;)

  1. Oh fun. We saw the Newburgh fireworks, and several times during the show, Jed shouted "I love the green ones! Thomas will love that green one too!"
