With spring in full swing it was time that we put some work into our front yard. Last year we had put in some beds up front but we needed to do a little more work.
We have a really big maple tree in our front yard and the newer roots were coming up into the beds. This was a becoming a problem with the things we were planting. So it was concluded to dig the dirt up put the dirt on the tarp and put some landscape fabric down to help keep the roots out of the bed.
Eric and I were less excited about this because this was quite a bit of dirt to dig up. The boys on the other had where all too excited to get in and dig in the dirt. They each got a shovel and dug in ;)
The boys actually did work for a while and were very happy doing so. But after a while the big pile of dirt was too much and soon became their play area.
