First birthday celebration

Because of how the days fell and Eric's work schedule on Olivia's actual birthday it was a little crazy being in the middle of the week so we decided that she was worth two birthday celebrations. A small celebration on her day and the big one that weekend.  

So this is her officially one years old picture on her birthday. We are so happy that she is part of our family and she makes us all smile everyday. At this point she was getting around pretty good but not walking, which was OK with both of us :) 

We had a regular dinner but thought we should have a fun little treat. With the craziness of the day and planning on making her real cupcake cake that Saturday, I took some help from the store and got a fun pink big chocolate chip cookie. 

We still pulled out the number one candle and vanilla ice cream so we could still sing her and wish her a happy birthday. She was more interested in the pink icing than the cookie itself but I let her be and she seemed happy just to pick at it and play with it.

At the end she was crumbling the cookie and mixing it with the ice cream knowing it was going to be a bath night anyway we let her have fun. It was her birthday so she could do what she wanted. The boys had fun helping her out and making sure she had a fun day as well. They were looking forward to the weekend when we planned on doing her big birthday celebration :)
