On Saturday Sept 22, 2012, Eric and I decided to run the 5k for the Race of the Cure downtown. Since the kids were in Disney Eric thought it would be a great race that we could both participate in.
I was able to pre-register both of us so the morning of the race we didn't have to worry about getting caught up in all that mess. Poor Eric wasn't able to get sleep before the race but he was in good spirits.
I am not sure what the total number was but it was estimated that over 12,000 people were going to participate. I think besides the CRIM it was the biggest race that I have been at. It was fun and exciting to be able to run in this race.
The morning of the race Eric and I gave ourselves of goal of what we wanted to run. Because of my foot I haven't been able to run the distances I have wanted and run as often as I would like, so I was a little nervous about this race. It was a perfect race day so Eric and I got ready at the starting line and we both were able to finish with good times. I was able to accomplish my goal so I was pretty happy :) It was a lot of fun for both of us to be able to do this together.
That is a great picture of the two of you. Still can't quite get used to that beard.
