We are out with the old and in with the new. When we bought our house we knew that we had a well. It wasn't a big deal for us and in fact over time I have become pretty grateful for it. It seems that our city has a lot of boil advisories with the city water, and with the extreme drought we has this summer we didn't have to worry about a paying for a high water bill.
But with a well there is the holding take, and the one we had was most likely the original. So while my dad was here he was able to help Eric hook up a nice new and much more efficient tank! I know this is pretty exciting?! So the above one was pretty water logged.... meaning the tank wouldn't empty out very well so the pump was kicking on all the time, and any time we used any water.
Here is our nice new pretty blue tank! Sup likes the color of course ;) It was not so a fun job to clean up around it after they removed the old one. And because the old was pretty much full the floor got a little wet, although that made it easier to clean up the gunk...always trying to find that silver lining ;) One more thing down on the home improvement list!
That has got to be nice having a good reserve tank now. It will be interesting to see if your eletric bill goes down with the pump not having to go every time to use some water. Great job Eric and Jim!
