Building

Eric has been trying to finish up some projects around the house before the holiday craziness. A little while ago I mentioned that a shelf in the kitchen would be nice to put my cookbooks and such on. I didn't really know what he had in mind for a bookshelf but he thought it would be nice to make it a book and display shelf. This is what he came up with...

I was pretty impressed. We didn't have anything on this wall any way and we had already put the window in so we could see into the family room last winter. There is a counter underneath where I prep a lot of our meals and bake our bread and goodies. So the bookshelf was great in this spot. I plan on getting some nice containers to put my flour and such in so it can look a little nicer but it will be great that everything is in reach. Probably some time in the summer I will stain it but I think it turned really nice.
