The rock shop

As mentioned before by boys love rocks, a trait picked up from Daddy :) On our way to Mammoth Cave Eric wanted to stop at this rock shop near the cave. We have been here before and it is kinda of neat place, especially if you are into rocks.

Of course the boys loved this place, but it was amazing to see how much they were charging for rocks! They had a big spot out front with all the bigger rocks to look at which they made sure to see.

Inside they had more of your "rock gifts" I guess I'll call them and your smaller rocks. We couldn't go to the rock shop without getting some kind of rock. But I must admit I wasn't crazy about paying for rocks of all things.
So we compromised and let each of the boys fill up a small bag of polished rocks. This way they could pick out the rocks they wanted and didn't really cost a lot. They had fun digging around finding all different colors and shapes. Thomas as you can imagine was a little more particular with his choices, so it took him a little longer to get just the right rocks. Sup on the other had had fun just filling up the bags with rocks. So to pass time while Thomas was picking out all his rocks I think Sup filled up 3 or 4 bags. Then he could chose the one bag we wanted to take home, and the rest were put back.

  1. That's too funny. I'm excited to see what random things Ian is going to like when he gets older. The girls are obsessed with playing with ants! They love picking them up and letting them crawl all over them.
