With the fourth of July on a Friday this year Eric had a 3 day weekend. We thought why stay around here? So we decided to pack up and go back to the Smokies.
Since the boys were spending few weeks up with my parents in Michigan, we just had to pack up Livvy ;) This time around we were able to get a campsite right in national park, but with Livvy being a little older and it being July we thought camping would be a fun adventure.
We were able to have a pretty good start and we had most things all packed when Eric got home from work. After having an omelet breakfast we were on our way. It was amazing how fast we were with just one child!
After a few stops in Tennessee, we arrived with plenty of time to set up camp and get everything all set. We chose to camp in Cosby because you didn't have to go into or around Gatlinburg so we didn't really have any traffic!
While we were getting everything all set Livvy had the chance to stretch her legs and explore the tent a little bit. Our campsite was really nice and actually in a nice location. It was right across from the bathrooms, trash, and wash station.
In the park all the sites are rustic so there was no electricity, but all the bathrooms had running water which was nice. With the campgrounds in the park you have to be very careful of attracting bears. So we made sure all food was safely locked up! All in all we were happy with our camp and excited to spend time in the great outdoors :)
