Okay I know I am still in January...well in my blogging post ;) But in second week of January (this pic was taken Jan 9th) I was walking to get Thomas from the bus stop and I see this in my front yard! I had to take a double take because I was thinking, " this is January there is NO way I have lettuce growing in my front yard?? I really need to get some more sleep."
So as we were walking back home I walked up to the front bed we had planted lettuce back last spring and wouldn't you know I had all this lettuce coming up. We had had a lot of snow over Christmas and then we had a couple of warm days and I suppose the ground wasn't frozen because it looked really nice, I was shocked!
So I ran in while the boys were playing outside and snapped a few pictures of my lovely lettuce to remember it by. It was too bad because I knew it was going to die and I don't really have that amazing green thumb to even try to save it :(
